I started this series with paper collage pieces during the same time as the Fragments Series, however, in the Bits & Pieces series, I enlarge a very small design of an animal or insect so that it becomes abstract. This helps the viewer to notice the design before the larger image. These works were created using both reverse and direct appliqué techniques.
